Easy Routine Facial Exercise for You to Have a More Youthful-Looking Face

by Jen Hopkins

Numerical aging is inevitable because all of us grow old, but most people desire to have a youthful looking skin even if they are already old. Nowadays, a youthful glow is coveted by a lot of middle-aged people and they spend a lot just to look young. Imagine someone who is already in their 50's but still have smooth, supple skin without fine lines and wrinkles.

If you are one of those people with similar fantasy and is currently looking for ways to somehow make this dream closer to reality, then you should try facial exercises. It will give you a younger-looking appearance without having to resort to invasive surgeries and painful medical procedures. Facial exercises help to stimulate the flow and circulation of blood. If you don't have wrinkles yet, engaging in a facial exercise will postpone the onset of wrinkly skin and fine lines. But if it has already begun, exercising your facial muscles will lessen visible wrinkles and give you a much more pleasant appearance.

If you perform facial exercises regularly, your facial muscles will be toned, and as an effect, you will notice an improvement in your skin and you would have a youthful glow. Aside from benefits to your face and skin, facial exercise also has other benefits such as relief from tension during headaches and facial pain, eye muscle relaxation, and reduces anxiety and stress.

There are a lot of facial exercise techniques that are relatively simple to follow. To get you started you can try one of the more popular facial exercises to keep your forehead firm by pulling down the muscles from just above the eyes using your index finger at the same time raising your eyebrows.

To improve the circulation of the blood in your face you could do face tapping. Face tapping involves the use of your middle finger; taping certain areas of your face such as the brow bone, below the eye area, bridge of the nose and along the laugh lines, in a manner similar to how you will check if a certain surface is hot.

For a more radiant facial skin there is the ear massage wherein you use your index finger and thumb to massage the ears from the tip to the lobes including the rim of the ears. To avoid wrinkles on the other hand, you just need to press on your temples using the palm and finger tips and lifting the temples upwards. Pausing for a couple of seconds and repeating a few times to maximize the effect.

Another form of facial exercise is opening your mouth as wide as you can, stretching it to the limit. This exercise will relax your facial muscles, improve blood circulation and will calm you down. Facial exercises with similar effect also include pinching your cheeks several times. You can also try exhaling through your mouth while opening it as wide as you can with your tongue stuck out to its stretching limit. The routines mentioned here are just a few of the facial exercise practices that you can do to get you started on preserving your radiant and youthful appearance.
