Beat the Wrinkles in Your Face: Engage in Facial Exercises
Fighting skin aging is one of the most common dilemmas that people, most especially women discuss. One way of lessening the lines on your face is doing facial exercises. These exercises can yield great results when executed properly and regularly.
In preparation for the exercise, have your face moisturized. You can do this by rubbing a lubricant or mineral oil on your face or just by applying the moisturizer you use daily. You can also just splash your face with water if you want. Never ever start the exercise without moisturizing your face or when you have a dry skin.
The five main facial areas we would like to focus on this exercise are the muscles surrounding the eyes, chin, neck, mouth and scalp. These exercises will be able to lighten your face and beat those wrinkles in a few days or weeks after regular exercise.
Eye Area
Skin aging around the eye area is very noticeable most especially to stressed and sleep deprived people. Some ways of exercising the muscles around your eyes are: %u2022 Put your fingers on your temples and pull slightly backwards. %u2022 As your fingers are pressed, close your eyes and hold it for about 2 - 3 seconds %u2022 Repeat this process for approximately 20 times.
This exercise will lessen the baggy feel around the eyes, especially the lower portion of the eyes. Do two sets of this exercise everyday for 20 repetitions and you'll see the difference in no time!
Chin Area
To keep your chin firm and get rid of loose skin, pull your lower lip upward and hold this position for approximately 5 seconds. This position should make your chin look protruded at the front. Afterwhich, pull you chin down and feel the stretch of the muscles at your chin area. Take note that your head should be straight all throughout this exercise. To obtain greater results, do this for two sets at 20 repetitions per day.
Scalp Area
This exercise is also a way to minimize the lines on your forehead and lighten up your face. You can do this exercise by raising your eyebrows and holding that position for approximately 2 -3 seconds. You will fill a slight stretch at the upper region of your face. Next, pull back your ear muscles and let the contraction feeling at the back of your forehead hold for about 2 - 3 seconds. By doing this exercise everyday for five minutes, your face will feel a lot lighter.
Muscles around the mouth
This exercise is mainly to attain a fuller mouth. To begin with, place your two index fingers inside your mouth and pull your mouth at a sideward direction. Clean your hands before doing this exercise so as to avoid bacteria. After extending your mouth in about a quarter or about three eighths of an inch maybe, contract your mouth until your two fingers touch. Repeat the process 25 to 50 times a day to get the best results.
Musles around the frontal portion of the neck
The main problem with skin aging at the neck is the appearance of loose skin in front of the neck. To prevent this from happening, tilt your head backward and make sure that your chin is slightly pointing to the upward direction. Place your tongue at the top area of your mouth and stay in that position for a while. After 2 to 3 seconds, put down your chin with your tongue still placed at the top of your mouth. You can have2 sets having 20 repetitions per day to obtain a better result.
